- Bucherer Montres acquires Tourneau, the largest authorized watch retailer in the United States.
- Bovet 1822 wins the "Aiguille d'Or" Grand Prix at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève for the Récital 22 Grand Récital in November. The luxury edition of the Krayon Everywhere, decorated with baguette diamonds, wins the Innovation Prize, the world's first model to provide a sunrise and sunset display anywhere in the world.
