The Rolex 1556 was the fourth-generation Day/Date movement from Rolex.

Introduced in 1965, Cal. 1556 added faster 19,800 A/h beat rate to the Day/Date complication. It is an automatic movement and a certified chronometer. Hacking seconds were added in 1972.
