The valanvron VAL-24 is an ETA 2824-compatible automatic movement from Valanvron.
Although it appears to be based on a Chinese-made Sea-Gull ST2130 ebauche, Valanvron remanufactures and modifies it in accordance to Swiss law to qualify the movement as "Swiss". This likely means that the ebauches are reassembled in Switzerland with at least 50% Swiss parts (by value) replaced or added, and the movement is inspected in Switzerland. Manufacturers report a willingness to adopt the movements in their Swiss watches [1].
Like the 2824, the VAL-24 is 25.60 mm in diameter and 4.60 mm high. It includes hours, minutes, and sweep second and is self-winding with ball bearings. It includes a quickset date, hacking second hand, and Novodiac shock absorption. Also like the 2824, the VAL-24 uses 28,800 vibrations per hour and has 25 jewels.
