Astraios is a wristwatch by Martin Braun.

Astronomical watch with automatic winding, which is able to indicate the sunrise and sunset times, as well as the orbit and therefore also the month. To attain a correct display, each watch is individually adjusted to the place specified by the buyer. This watch, as usual with Martin Braun, is delivered in several versions, which distinguish especially through the dial and the housing material.

On the left dial side there is the indicator for the sunrise periods, on the right for the sunset times. Since this is a astronomical display, daylight saving time is not considered.

The mechanism for displaying the orbit requires 86 additional parts compared to the model EOS. In the middle of the dial is the gear symbolizing the sun, which makes two full turns per year. On another carrier, there are three thereto coupled gears. To one of them a blue dot is applied that symbolizes the earth. This the central gear encircles counterclockwise once a year in an elliptical orbit and thus is a reflection of the sun orbiting the earth.
