Template:Hersteller-Menue2V Template:File HYT (Hydro Mechanical Horologists) is an independent Swiss watch manufacturer.
Overview
HIT was established in 2012 by Lucien Vouillamoz, Vincent Perriard (former chief of Concord), Patrick Berdoz, and Emmanuel Savioz. The special feature of the models of this brand is that the hours are not displayed by a hand, but by a fluid rising in a tube. This concept had been first considered by Vouillamoz as early as 2002, with the core team beginning work in earnest in 2010.
At the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix 2012, the brand won the award for the best innovative watch for the new HYT H1, developed in collaboration with Jean-François Mojon at Chronode and debuting at Baselworld. The 2013 HYT H2, developed in collaboration with Giulio Papi of movement specialists Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi, continued the development of the fluid display and debuted at Baselworld. This work culminated in 2015 with a full range of watches launched, including the rectangular HYT H3, HYT Skull, and HYT H4.
