Calibre F 2001 is an automatic alarm movement from Fortis introduced around 1977.
Unlike most alarm movements of the 1970's, Fortis used a chronograph base for their F 2001, the Valjoux 7750. One of the first automatic chronograph alarm movements, Cal. F 2001 was also notable in that the barrel for the alarm function was wound with the central rotor also used to wind the base movement's mainspring. The movement retained the 7750's 28,800 A/h speed and day/date functions as well.
