Laureato Evo³ Big Date is a wristwatch by Girard-Perregaux.
The Laureato Evo³ is the third evolution of the sporty model from the year 1975. The instantly recognizable design, faithfully following the Laureato original, is based on the characteristic octagonal bezel and the integrated wristband.
The latest model is distinguished by a big date - remarkably, without gutter or dividing line - as well as a power reserve indicator and moon phase.
The manufacture movement GP3330-RLM00 combines three useful complications:
- The system of large date display was developed in 2001 and patented by Girard-Perregaux. The special feature of this mechanism is the superposition of two discs. One is transparent, so that both numerals are visible, but no dividing line can be seen.
- An innovative and original design of moon phase and power reserve indicator on both sides of the barrel. The mechanism of the moon phase indication is directly connected with the barrel (traditionally this mechanism is connected with the gear train) and therefore moves slowly rather than jumping. This extremely precise mechanism needs to be corrected only every 122 years and 45 days to one day.
