Pilot's Watches for Father and Son is a set of pilot's watches by IWC.
Unusual combination of a large and a small pilot's watches model, especially suitable as a family piece and gift. According to IWC CEO Georges Kern, this is a suggestion of his son. This had always complained that he had no IWC. Kern made it the idea to connect father and son as partners by possessing a pairwise conceived watch creation.
Behind the father model hides the legendary Big Pilot's Watch by IWC with the manufacture calibre 51111; the case is made of the valuable material platinum. The smaller edition for the son technically corresponds to the 39 mm pilot's watch Mark XVI with its stainless steel case and the self-winding movement Cal. 30110.
The inner circle of the casebacks of both watches is reserved for name engraving.
Father & Son models were produced from 2006 through 2013 with a brown strap. A black strap option was also offered the first year.
