BE-83AR
The BE-83AR is Bremont's limited-edition chronograph movement.
Introduced in 2012 in the Bremont Victory, the BE-83AR was reworked for the 2013 Bremont Codebreaker, with a flyback chronograph feature added.
The BE-83AR is a chronograph movement said to be based on La Joux-Perret's LJP 8310 base, itself derived from the storied Valjoux 7750 series. It features retrograde seconds and retrograde date in the Victory model, though the Codebreaker uses traditional sweep hands for this feature. The Codebreaker also adds a sweep flyback seconds-hand in the chronograph, along with a 30-minute counter. The victory has a 12-hour counter, while the Codebreaker features a 60 second hand counter. The Codebreaker also adds a GMT hand for a second timezone and a standard date window. The movements also include perlage and blued screwed decoration.
Both BE-83AR movements feature three-legged Glucydur balances, though the Codebreaker's is crafted from a German WWII Enigma wheel and is decorated like an English Bombe drum. Both movements feature 39 jewels and boast 46 hour power reserve.
