2018 — Baume & Mercier introduces the Clifton Baumatic, featuring the brand's new in-house "Baumatic" self-winding movement with a "Twinspir" silicon hairspring. A lawsuit over the technology, patented by CSEM, quickly followed, with the technology withdrawn a year later.
