Rolex presents the model Rolex Prince, that writes watch history because of its unusual rectangular shape. It is produced till the end of the 1940s. The watch is also named "Doctors Watch".

Longines-Wittnauer introduces the Wittnauer All Proof wristwatch, the first anti-magnetic, waterproof, and shockproof watch sold in America.

LeCoultre introduces the Atmos clock.
