F. P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance
The Chronomètre à Résonance is a wristwatch by F. P. Journe.
Info
The resonance chronometer consists of two largely independent watch movements that are only coupled by a common balance staff and by their resonance: When the half-cycle of one balance wheel slows, it speeds up the other - and vice versa. Since the year 2000 Journe offers this feature for watch connoisseurs as an own watch creation: the Chronomètre à Résonance.
The watch, according to the name, offers chronometer precision and is equipped with a dual timezone. (Journe rejects certifications at the COSC, because he estimates their standards as inadequate and too lax.)
There is a version in red gold and a limited version in platinum.
F.P. Journe won the Complicated Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève for the Chronomètre à Résonance in November, 2010.
