Patek Philippe Sky Moon 5102
Sky Moon Ref. 5102 is an astronomical watch by Patek Philippe.
This extravagant luxury watch with self-winding movement shows a detailed view of the northern night sky in its uniform rotation, the angular motion of the moon and the moon phase, while a golden ellipse frames that part of the sky, which can be seen above the city of Geneva. On the 12-hour scale the hours and minutes for mean solar time are displayed at the periphery.
The movement consists of 301 components and has as a basis the same mechanism which was originally developed by Patek Philippe for the pocket watch Star Calibre 2000 and then was further miniaturized for the model Sky Moon Tourbillon.
Patek Philippe won the "Aiguille d'Or" Grand Prix at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève for the Ref. 5102 Ciel Lune in November, 2002.
