Adrien Francillon was a dedicated and enthusiastic worker who spent 30 years of his life at the Longines factory in St-Imier.

He started his career in the commercial department and became a powerful liaison between the commercial and manufacturing departments. He became a fondé de pouvoirs in 1915 and was a member of the Board of Directors since 1919. Besides his work at Longines, he was also involved in several public activities in St-Imier, including the Commission of the Horology and Mechanics School, the Secondary School Commission, and the Cadet Commission. He was also a member of the local committee of the Swiss Popular Bank and the vice-president of the Funicular Society of St-Imier-Mont-Soleil. He passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve in 1939, leaving behind his wife, children, and colleagues at Longines.
