Movement by Panerai

Self-winding chronograph movement on Valjoux basis. With rattrapante function. Produced by La Joux-Perret as their Caliber 8601 RAC. It is unusual in that it has a column wheel rather than the cam system typically seen on Valjoux 7750-based movements.

The Panerai OP XVIII is for instance used with the following models:

Self-winding movement with central rotor
Chronograph with double column-wheel
Glucydur balance wheel
Incabloc shock protection
Côtes de Genève on bridges and rotor
Blued screws
COSC-certified chronometer
