Reinhard Meis is a German watchmaker and technical writer in the area of historical watches. He was born Februar 9th, 1940 in Koppelow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany).

Since 1991 Reinhard Meis was technical advisor and product designer for the LMH (Les Manufactures Horologeres), to which belonged the companies IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Lange Uhren GmbH. After the restart of A. Lange & Söhne he contributed significantly to the constructional development of the "new" Lange watches.

In 2018, Reinhard Meis received the prestigious Prix Gaïa Histoire-Recherches award.
