- On 18 September 2020 a memorial to the company’s founder Walter Lange was unveiled to mark the 175th anniversary of Glashütte’s watchmaking industry. By doing so, the town is paying tribute to the man who brought precision watchmaking to Glashütte for a second time after the German reunification in 1990.
- Blancpain presents the elegant, ultra-flat model Ultraplate in the Villeret collection. The case is made of stainless steel or red gold, the dial in brilliant white or opaline. The 1150 movement guarantees a long power reserve of 4 days (96 hours).
- The global pandemic forces the closure of nearly every industry event, ending Baselworld and SIHH permanently.
