Colombier

Colombier is a village in the district of Boudry in Canton Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It is located on a small hill above Lake Neuchâtel with Bevaix, Cortaillod, and Boudry to the southwest and Corcelles, Peseux, and Neuchâtel to the northeast.

Although not known for watchmaking, Colombier was home to a few notable names:

• Numa Fréchelin specialized in watches for America, and specifically Boston
• Constant Morthier-Sandoz also specialized in watches for America and England
• A. Jeanneret-Rickli
• Emile Droz specialized in watches for Boston
• Philippe Hüther was notable as his firm originated the Tudor brand (later called Huther SA)
• Gaston Capt
• Georges-Henri Vuilleumier
