Henry-Alfred Lugrin was a Swiss-American watchmaker and inventor famous for his many patents relating to complicated watches, including chronographs and repeaters, before the turn of the century. Lugrin lived in New York and his patents were widely exploited by American firms including the Waltham Watch company and Prosper Nordmann.
