1928 — Swatch Group founder Nicolas G. Hayek is born in Beirut, Lebanon. A business consultant, he is responsible for the growth of the Swatch Group, the dominance of ETA movements, and many of the industry developments in recent decades.
1998 — SMH is renamed Swatch Group as Nicholas Hayek, Jr. is promoted to chairman.
