- 1967 — Seiko delivers four prototype quartz watches for chronometer certification to the Neuchâtel Observatory, just three months after the CEH prototypes.
- 2004 — F.P. Journe wins the "Aiguille d'Or" Grand Prix at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève for the Tourbillon Souverain à seconde morte.
- 2011 — Hermès wins the Montre de l'Année award for the Arceau Le Temps Suspendu.
- 2014 — The famous Patek Philippe "Graves Supercomplication" is sold at a Sotheby's Auction for US$24 million, the most expensive sale to date. It had previously held that record after a 1999 sale.
