1823 — German watchmaker Erhard Junghans is born.
1893 — Uhrenfabrik Union is established in Glashütte, Germany by Johannes Dürrstein, Dresden distributor of A. Lange & Söhne watches. It is the predecessor of today's Union Glashütte brand.
1964 — Heuer and Leonidas merge to form Heuer-Leonidas.
1991 — The Glashütte watch brand Nomos is registered by Roland Schwertner of Düsseldorf.
