Template:File Reverso Grande Taille is a wristwatch by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Model Overview

The Grande Taille case measures 42.2 mm tall by 26.1 mm wide, including the lugs. This nearly matches the 1.6:1 "golden ratio" of the classic Reverso case. Although small by modern standards, this case has sufficient room for shaped movements with modest functions, including calendar, second timezone, and power reserve. Not including the lugs, the case is 36 mm tall, and the inner "reversing" portion measures 30 x 26 mm.

Any Reverso model with a case measuring between 42 and 43 mm tall by 25.5 and 26.5 mm wide can properly be called a "Grande Taille" ("Large Size") model. Those with a taller case, 45 to 50 mm tall by 27 to 30 mm, are referred to as "Grande" while smaller models are called "Classique". The Grande Taille designation would also not include wider Squadra models.

The basic model, simply called the Reverso Grande Taille, uses the hand winding Cal. 822 with central hour and minute hands and small seconds. A rare version was the Reverso Art Deco, which showed an engraved Cal. 822AD through a display caseback.

This model would be produced until the 2016 refresh of the Reverso range, anchored by the similarly-sized Reverso Classic Medium.

Grande Taille Models

Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the larger "Grande Taille" ("Large Size") Reverso case in 1991 with the 60ème model. This was part of a successful effort to modernize the range, and it proved quite successful. Shortly after that limited-edition anniversary model was introduced, a range of Reverso Grande Taille models was introduced, including the popular Reverso Duoface. Today's Reverso models still use this rough case size, including the modern Reverso Tribute and Reverso Classic Medium.
