Quai de l'Ile is a model range by Vacheron Constantin.

A new watch concept

A watch that depends entirely on the taste of its owner, arising from the combination of the latest technologies with traditional watchmaking. Innovative and in a contemporary, urban design the series Quai de l'Ile even today presents high watchmaking art of tomorrow: individual, tamper-proof, exclusive and modern.

Based on two and a half centuries of experience, the manufacture Vacheron Constantin confirms with the new Quai de l'Ile line - named after the historic address of the headquarters in Geneva - its reputation as a pioneer in watchmaking.

The case is revolutionary, the dial combines a number of technologies of watchmaking with those of the "Security Printing", the two mechanical movements with automatic winding and Geneva Seal are exclusively designed and manufactured at Vacheron Constantin, the accessories - consisting of the box, watch Passport, USB-Stick and multimedia content - follow a new path in the world of watchmaking.

The introduction of the Quai de l'Ile in 2008 was carried out with two models:

  • Quai de l'Ile with date display and automatic movement (Calibre 2460QH), and
  • Quai de l'Ile with day of the week and date display, power reserve and automatic winding (Calibre 2475SC/1).

The mechanical watch movements with automatic winding are presented with the prestigious Geneva Seal. The calibres of the latest generation, developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, have a rhodium or ruthenium coating that is also recognizable through the dial.

Each model of the Quai de l'Ile series is delivered with two straps: a hand-crafted strap in black or dark brown alligator leather with saddle stitching and another strap made of vulcanized rubber in black or brown in simple but elegant design. The finish variants to choose from are "polished" (palladium or pink gold) or "satin-finished" (titanium). The triple folding clasp is in the form of a half Maltese Cross with double security clasp.

About 400 variants

The concept of personalization of the Quai de l'Ile series is unique in the world of High Watchmaking. As a variation to the existing collection the personalization of the series rests on four elements: the case and the seven-part middle section, the dial produced according to the latest technology of watchmaking and security printing, the finish of the movement and the bracelet. Overall, about 400 combinations for a personalization are available to the customers according to their personal tastes. Enough to create an exceptional timepiece, which reflects the taste and the temperament of its owner.

At an interactive screen specially developed by Vacheron Constantin, and using a patterns range of materials and colors, the future owner can compile his watch by himself. The thus created watch is then made in Geneva by hand and within a few weeks passed to the customer at the agreed date.
