The RM 012 is a luxury watch by Richard Mille.
2007 presented luxury wristwatch with tourbillon and manual winding, limited to 30 pieces, which surprised the watchmaking world by its revolutionary construction. The special feature of the movement construction is the renunciation of the classical plate. By then the aluminum alloy Anticorodal 100 (AlMgSi1), which is here used for barrel, gear train and tourbillon cage, could only be found in ships or in motorsport. It is not only very light, but also highly resistant to corrosion, wear and temperature variations. The struts and bridges are made of stainless steel and titanium.
The watch was awarded the "Golden Hand", the main prize of the prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, in 2007.
