Buser Freres & Cie SA (Buser) was a Swiss watch brand active in the middle of the 20th century.
History
Buser Freres was founded in Niederdorf, with a branch at Reigoldswil. The company produced watches under the Buser and Nidor brands. The brand was incorporated into the MSR in 1961 with Franz Buser serving as Director. It had relocated to La Chaux-de-Fonds by 1966. The brand was retired after 1978.
Albert Buser, the head of Buser Frères & Cie S.A., died on March 8, 1953, at the age of 58. Buser was a skilled worker for the watchmaking industry and played an important role in setting prices for economic watches. He also actively supported the F.H. Group Manufactures and participated in various organizations of this group.
The Buser family later became involved in the Swisstime concern.
