1971 — A single paragraph on page 61 of the New York Times announces that Zenith Radio Corporation of Chicago has purchased respected Swiss watch company Movado-Zenith-Mondia. The deal would end disastrously just 7 years later.

2005 — Michel Parmigiani and the Sandoz Family Foundation announce plans to produce their own assortment, one of the few Swiss companies to do so.
