Jules Rein
Jules Rein (1877-1942) was an industrialist famous as the commercial director for Pierce.
Jules Rein was born in 1877.
He joined the Emulation society in Le Neuveville in October 19, 1912. He became very involved in the group, promoting industrial activity in the Jura region.
Following secondary school in Basel, Rein joined the firm of Léon Lévy & Frères in Bienne around 1895. In the spring of 1896, Rein was sent to the new Lévy factory in Moutier.
Over time, Rein rose to become the commercial director of the Moutier factory, which became known as Pierce in the 1930s. He ultimately worked for the factory for 46 years, until his death in 1942.
Rein also took part in Moutier's public life, and held various positions in municipal commissions.
