Vulcain Vulcanographe

Vulcanographe is a wristwatch with alarm function by Vulcain with self-winding movement and chronograph.

Following the world premiere of the Imperial Gong Tourbillon watch in 2005 Vulcain recalls the origins of the manufacture with a chronograph. However, the historic complication presents itself very timely with GMT function and big date. The Vulcanographe is equipped with the automatic Calibre V-50. It has a classic column wheel for function control.

As before, the chronograph is one of the major complications. In light of the growing demands in the field of short-term measure, it proves the skill of a watch movement manufacture. Since its founding in 1858 Vulcain has produced many chronograph. They have now become collectibles. The manufacture of Le Locle links to this tradition with the new chronograph. As first automatic movement since the Vulcain restart the complex mechanism has 42 hours power reserve and - in extension to the chronograph function - a 24 hours GMT or dual timezone and a big date in a double window.

According to the style of the manufacture it has a case of 42 mm in diameter. It is available in stainless steel or in 18ct rose gold and is equipped with a sapphire crystal with anti-glare treatment. In the center of the silver or anthracite guilloché dial are hours, minutes and stop seconds and a 24 hours GMT indication. The counter at 9 o'clock houses the running seconds, the 30 minutes counter is positioned at 3 o'clock, while the big date can be read in a double window at 6 o'clock. The 5 ATM waterproof case is offered with Louisiana alligator strap and stainless steel security seal or with a tang-type buckle in gold.
