Communauté d'Horlogerie de Précision (CHP) was a federation of Swiss watch manufacturers active from 1958 through the 1970s.

History

CHP was formed in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1958, making it one of the first organizations in the industry focused on branded finished products. Among its goals was "the study of avant-garde techniques and their applications." This was strengthened in 1974 with the addition of famed manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre, which was at that time owned by Favre-Leuba.

Membership

A 1969 article suggests that Heuer-Leonidas was a member, and that the primary purpose was "promotion of global purchasing and technical research."
