JeanRichard is a Swiss watch manufacturer, currently part of the Kering group.

History

Since 1988 this watch manufacturer is in the possession of the owner of Girard-Perregaux, Luigi Macaluso. It is named after Daniel JeanRichard, the founder of the watch industry in the Swiss canton Neuchâtel.

1994 the company gained attention with the youthful collection TV Screen, whose models are reminiscent of a traditional television housing form. In the same year the company moved from Le Brassus to La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Since 2003 the company is directed by Massimo Macaluso, the son of the owner of Girard-Perregaux, Luigi Macaluso. He shortened the company name to the handier term Jean Richard.

With the self-winding movement JR 1000 JeanRichard since 2004 has a completely in-house manufactured movement. Based on this movement are a number of variants, eg JR 10RJ with power reserve indicator and date, JR 1010 with moon phase indication and also a chronograph module.

Well-known model series are:

  • Haute Horlogerie
  • Paramount
  • Bressel
  • TV Screen
  • Milady

Bressel was the nickname of Daniel JeanRichard, named after the small town where he was born.
