The Model 6052 Frankfurt Financial District Watch with calendar week display is an automatic chronograph from Sinn produced since 2014 and is the ninth model in the Sinn Frankfurt Financial District line. Like the Model 6099 introduced the same year, it brought the chronograph complication to the larger case.

Overview

In 1999, Sinn added a model to celebrate the company's home city of Frankfurt and to appeal to the business and finance professionals there. The Frankfurt Financial District Watch was designed to reflect the sensibilities of the German businessman, with clean utilitarian lines, a restrained black dial, and stainless steel case. And, reflecting the international appeal of Frankfurt, the Frankfurt Financial District Watch was designed to show the time in multiple timezones. The company suggested that it could keep track of the time in New York and Tokyo, two other major stock exchanges, while showing the local time in Frankfurt.

The original Model 6000 Frankfurt Financial District Watch used a 38.5 mm case, which was up-sized in 2014 for the 41.5 mm Model 6099. This Model 6052 was launched one month later and shares the new, larger case but uses a different movement with dramatically different features.

Model 6052 is the first "Frankfurter" to use a Sinn movement: Cal. SZ03 is based on the Valjoux 7751 but is modified in many ways. The 30 minute chronograph counter is replaced by a Sinn-designed 60-minute counter at 12:00. The 12 hour counter traditionally placed at 6:00 on the dial is replaced with a week number indicator using a pointer in a subdial. The rotating inner bezel used to show a third timezone on most Frankfurter models is gone, replaced by a date scale for the centrally-mounted date pointer. The crown at 10:00 is also gone, with a corrector added for the annual calendar, which displays day and month in windows inside the 12:00 subdial. The running seconds subdial remains at 9:00 but is de-emphasized with no numerals used. This is the first Frankfurter model without a GMT or second time zone display.

As of 2019, only a single version of Model 6052 has been issued. A stainless steel case is paired with a electroplated black dial with a sunburst pattern. The similar Model 6012, launched in 2019, uses a different movement with a moon phase indicator.
