Armin Strom
Armin Strom is a Swiss watchmaker and watch manufacturer established in 1967.
Overview
The master watchmaker Armin Strom supplied the most demanding customers with complex models, such richly decorated, hand-skeletonized chronographs, alarm clocks and perpetual calendars. Strom opened a shop and workshop in Burgdorf near Bern in 1967. His watches were first exhibited in the 1980s, with a specialization for skeleton pieces.
Armin Strom and his son Daniel, who had already made a career at Omega as director, created the company "Strom & Strom GmbH" in May 2001 in Biel. In 2006, this became the stock company Armin Strom AG, and in 2009 it was moved to the new, large factory in the watchmaking city Biel. That same year, Armin Strom presented its first in-house manufacture movement, the ARM09, in the One Week watch.
In September 2011, Armin Strom retired from his company.
Armin Strom showed their first tourbillon in November 2012.
In 2017, Armin Strom launched an internet-based Watch Configurator tool, allowing customers to design their own custom watch.
