The TAG Heuer Calibre 1887 is an automatic chronograph movement from TAG Heuer. In 2015, this calibre was re-branded Heuer 01.
The 1887 is a mechanical chronograph calibre with self-winding. It was developed by TAG Heuer, based on the calibre platform TC78 (1997) from Seiko (Seiko 6S37). In 2006 the rights for exclusive production in Europe were purchased from TAG Heuer. The movement is completely manufactured in-house and is somewhat different in design from the Seiko base. The 1887 includes a larger 29.3 mm plate and is thinner overall. It was designed for additional complications, including power reserve and retrograde.
The first models with this calibre are:
- TAG Heuer Carrera 1887 Chronograph (Baselworld 2010)
- TAG Heuer 300 SLR Calibre 1887 Chronograph (2010)
