Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Extreme LAB

Master Compressor Extreme LAB is a concept watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

With this 2009 launched sports model Jaeger-LeCoultre presented the first wristwatch, which runs completely lubrication-free. It is the first product of a newly established research laboratory in the manufacture. This "think tank" takes care systematically of the discovery and testing of promising materials and methods for watchmaking. It was initially shown in 2007.

For the Master Compressor Extreme LAB, the company has applied for a total of six patents, one for the high-tech housing in carbon, titanium and ceramic materials. Further technical details of the self-winding calibre 988C are a tourbillon with a cage made of a magnesium alloy, a dual time-zone and a hand date from the center, which is coupled with the main time. The peculiarity of this indication: at the transition from the 15th to 16th of the month the hand jumps over the tourbillon cage in the lower part of the dial.
