BWC is a Swiss watch brand.
The Swiss manufacturer BWC (Buttes Watch Co.) was founded in 1924 by Arthur Chalet in Buttes (Canton Neuchâtel). It is known for producing inexpensive mechanical and Quartz watches with solid quality. At that time the focus was still on the production of pocket watches. In 1953 the father of the founder, Edwin Volkart, took over the company. Since 2003 BWC is owned by the Pforzheim company Starck-Uhren, and since 2004 watches are manufactured with a new concept in Biel and Pforzheim.
