- 1949 — Influential watch producer Jean-Claude Biver is born in Luxemborg. He would make a fortune from his ownership of Blancpain, which he sold to Swatch Group. He then lead Omega's revitalization before retiring. Then he took control of Hublot, which he sold to LVMH. He then rebuilt TAG Heuer.
- 2007 — The Prix Gaïa award ceremony is held, with Paul Gerber receiving his trophy for Craftsmanship-Creation, the only award that year
- 2009 — The Prix Gaïa awards are given to Beat Haldimann and Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey
- 2016 — The Prix Gaïa awards are given to Vianney Halter, Giovanni Busca and Pascal Rochat, and Roger Smith
- 2018 — Paul Clementi, Maximilian Büsser, and Reinhard Meis win the Prix Gaïa award.
