1892 — Reinhard Straumann is born near Waldenburg. He would become technical director for Revue Thommen and director of the FH and, on his own time, invented the Nivarox balance spring material still in use today.

2016 — Armin Strom introduces the Mirrored Force Resonance

2017 — Ming Watch introduces the Ming 19.01 which would be nominated for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève Petit Aiguille despite being only the brand's second model.
