Abraham-Louis Breguet was perhaps the most important and famous early watchmaker, and his family (and name) have continued in the industry for centuries.

• Montres Breguet - The modern Breguet watch brand established in 1980 under Chaumet, acquired by Investcorp in 1987, and sold (with Nouvelle Lemania and Valdar) to the Swatch Group in 1999
• Bréguet-Bréting - Bienne case maker that originally registered the Breguet watch brand, active from 1880 through 1945 and continuing as A. Bréguet through 1994
• Breguet Frères - Le Locle-based machine tool company established in 1900 and later known as Aciera
• Les Frères Bréguet - Geneva-based machine tool company using the Breguet Geneve brand active from 1910 through 1932
• Henri Breguet - Le Locle-based watchmaker using the H. Breguet trademark active from at least 1869 through 1900
• Breguet & Cie - La Chaux-de-Fonds-based watchmaker using The Breguet Watch trademark from 1903 through 1911
• Breguet Watch Co - Trademark used by Mortimer Conner of New York in the 1930s
• Bolsa - Neuchâtel watchmaker active from 1942 through 1971 and holder of the Montres Breguet name in the 1950s and 1960s
