Société Suisse de Chronométrie (SSC) is an organization of watchmakers, technicians, engineers, and professionals in the Swiss watchmaking industry.
Founded on October 5, 1924 in Geneva, the Société Suisse de Chronométrie was created three years after the Laboratoire Suisse de Recherches Horlogères, with which it was closely associated. Beginning in 1932, the SSC has published a bulletin of scientific and technical informations and activities from the Laboratoire.
The organization moved from La Chaux-de-Fonds to Grenchen in 1945 under the direction of new president Max Bossart.
